Since the Shepparton Heritage Centre has been closed and I have been working from home I thought it was a good time to find ways to collect history from people who are "Staying Home," for our archives and make this history accessible to the community.
Zoom video conferencing looked like an ideal way to do this so I trialled a few sessions with my Kensington Gardens community where we live. The trials worked quite well so I decided to pay for the app to take advantage of all the great features it has. As well as the Zoom sessions I am using an app called NoNotes to record telephone interviews to gather more local history, with people who don't have access to online technology.
